Full Biography

Brendan is a private Law tutor who has over 1000 hours in one-to-one tutoring and who has conducted several large group workshops online and in person. As a Cambridge Law graduate, he seeks to guide students in building the critical skills needed to study Law at a high academic level. This includes the skills passed down to him by Oxbridge professors such as the Socratic method of questioning and answering and using hypothetical reasoning to test the logical limits of legal cases.

While many of his students approach him seeking guidance on how to apply to Top Law schools around the world, many also approach him for guidance on the implicit aspects of their degree such as structuring essays or explaining legal content.

Brendan helped me to prepare for my Law interview at Cambridge. He was hugely knowledgeable and always knew exactly how I could improve. His sessions were well-planned, organised and flexible. I would highly recommend Brendan and have now secured an offer from Cambridge.

Brendan was incredible at guiding me through the LNAT preparation process by offering tailored help and resources. He was always on hand to answer my questions and explained the answers in ways no textbook ever could.

Brendan was really helpful with the application process- from guiding me to useful resources, advising me on my personal statement and giving me expert knowledge at writing to target Oxford. His help was instrumental in helping me direct my application to Oxford and in successfully receiving my offer!

My sessions with Brendan gave me a great deal of confidence in my preparation leading up to the law interviews. His style of teaching worked extremely well for me; the clear and thorough approach was very helpful and I could tell it paid off when conducting the actual interviews.

As a native Chinese student, the beginning was difficult because of the language problem and the difficulty of the LNAT itself, which requires a huge amount of reading and vocabulary. However, with Brendan’s patience and detailed examples, I was able to understand the meaning of the articles and improve my speed in answering the questions.

Overall, Brendan has been a careful and considerate tutor. Thanks to his first-hand experience with Cambridge and the application process he was able to teach me not only the basics of law but also the skills I needed to make a strong candidate. Even though of the huge time differences between us, Brendan has always been willing to find a suitable time for our meetings.
Belen (Argentina)
Interview offer for Law, Trinity College, University of Cambridge
The final part was interview practice, and I was relieved when I got into my actual Cambridge interview that it was exactly the same as the exercises Brendan took me through. Discussing legislation, advising people in cases, giving my viewpoints on cases and personal statement questions were all essential topics Brendan covered in detail and prepared me for.

If it was not for Brendan being so reliable and thorough in his teaching, I am unsure how far I would have gone in this application process.

Brendan was an excellent tutor who conducted a mock interview for Cambridge law admissions for me. He was friendly and welcoming, and helped to ease the nerves of a simulated interview. He was organised in preparing the necessary material before the session, and knew his content well. The session itself was well-conducted. The pace was neither too slow nor too fast, and I could easily follow along and engage with the material. At the end of the session he provided detailed feedback on my performance with objective areas for improvement. In addition, he stayed in contact with me for me to resolve any queries I had regarding the application. I very much appreciated someone who could guide me through the process of applying, and Brendan’s help was instrumental in helping me get an offer to Cambridge law.
